- At least 5 years of practical experience in an NGO or the humanitarian sector, with significant experience working with marginalized groups with a strong focus on youth.
- Excellent knowledge and demonstrated expertise and experience on gender and power, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience in developing, monitoring and managing and work plans, procurement plans and budgets ensuring a strong eye on donor compliance where essential and necessary.
- Understanding and knowledge of humanitarian and development programmes and contingency planning for emergencies.
- Experience in establishing and managing teams regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, or age with a focus on encouraging self-reflection and being non-judgmental.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with a focus on creative thinking and negotiation, diplomacy and representation skills with all project stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure to multiple demands, responding to changing needs, without losing sight of the strategic objectives.
- Well-developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
- Excellent written and spoken communication including presentation skills in English and Arabic.
