Job Title: Software Release Specialist

Location: Hybrid Germantown MD

Type: FullTime

Responsibilities:

1. Release Management:

   • Oversee the endtoend software release process.
   • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams including development quality assurance and project management to ensure smooth and timely releases.

2. Quality Assurance:

   • Utilize 3 years of prior engineering/QA experience to ensure the highest quality of software releases.
   • Collaborate with QA teams to establish and maintain release testing processes.

3. Project Management:

   • Leverage 5 years of recent PM experience to plan execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines.
   • Work closely with project managers to integrate release activities into the overall project plan.

4. Documentation:

   • Maintain comprehensive release documentation including release notes deployment guides and versioning information.
   • Ensure that all documentation is accurate and uptodate.

5. Communication:

   • Act as a central point of contact for all releaserelated matters.
   • Communicate release schedules status updates and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.

6. Software Development Background:

   • Apply a solid background in software development to understand the technical aspects of the software being released.
   • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve any releaserelated issues.

7. Tool Proficiency:

   • Proficient in using JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
   • Ensure accurate and timely updates within JIRA to reflect the status of software releases.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• 3 years of prior engineering/QA experience.
• 5 years of recent project management experience.
• Background in software development.
• Proficiency in JIRA.
