- Manage the entire operation of farm and farm labours.
- Direct and coordinate livestock farm activities, such as breeding, rearing, maintenance, and shipment of livestock.
- Plan and implement policies and procedures to attain profitability and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Review production and storage records to determine productivity.
- Prepare breeding or hatching schedules based on customer orders, market forecasts, and available facilities and equipment.
- Examine livestock for illness or disease and advises designated personnel of action to be taken or secures veterinarian services.
- Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and to determine maintenance and repair requirements.
