We are currently seeking an intermediate to senior-level project engineer in a salary position working full-time from ; The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter responsible for managing multiple projects, applying sound engineering principles and judgment and being the face of projects to clients and
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple, simultaneous projects including day-to-day PM tasks, cost and schedule tracking, and regular reporting
- Perform process and mechanical design and specification of various system components including control valves, PSVs, pumps, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, separators, automated valves, flow meters, transmitters, manual valves and piping
- Oversee engineering and drafting resources to produce project documents and drawings
- Procure and expedite various system components
- Liaise with and provide engineering/project support to all project stakeholders including clients PMs, engineering and drafting resources, suppliers, fabrication shops and field operators
- Participate in site commissioning and start-up activities
- Ensure quality control and assurance processes are followed throughout the project life cycles
- Engage actively as a member of the team through cooperation, communication and proactive learning
Requirements
Qualifications
- Licensed as a or () in Alberta
- Minimum 10 years of applicable experience
- Experience in designing oil and gas equipment, components and instrumentation
- Experience in developing packaged equipment P&IDs and equipment layouts
- Project management and engineering experience on small to mid-size projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a close team
- Excellent oral and written English competency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of and experience with ASME , API 520, ANSI
- Experience viewed as an asset but not a core qualification requirement:
- Design and fabrication of oil and gas processing equipment
- Field commissioning and start-up of oil and gas processing equipment
- Familiarity with process simulation software such as Symmetry, ProMax, Aspen, HYSYS,
- Familiarity with acid gas / CO2 pipelines, injection wells, injection reservoirs,
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC and control panel design and/or PLC programming
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and electrical systems design
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project
