Production planning specialist

Develop, develop and implement production plans that balance resource use while meeting customer demand
Analyze data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials and information
Monitor production progress and review plans as needed
Ensure compliance with quality standards and occupational health and safety regulations
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, costs, and production outputs

Negotiating contracts with suppliers
Develop contingency plans for disruptions in supply or demand
Develop production schedules based on demand forecasts to meet customer requirements
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure sufficient materials are available, and develop relationships with new suppliers as needed
Communicate with other departments within the organization regarding production schedules and deadlines
Monitor inventory levels and adjust production accordingly to avoid overproduction
