- The intern will have a full understanding of the procurement process (Micro and Small) in NGOs.
- He / She will be have a brief introduction to the tendering processes within Mercy Corps.
- He/She will have full understanding of the contracting process, and how to draft Purchase Orders, Simple Service Contracts, and non-complex Service Contracts.
- He/She will be able to utilize the different trackers/ excel sheets used in the department for follow-up, and keep them up to date.
- He/She will be able to check simple procurement transactions, and identify any missing document/requirement.
- He/She will be able to do simple pre-award negotiations with suppliers.
- The intern will enhance their business/procurement ethics while practicing.
