Job Mission

Tibber always aims to be one of the good ones in the neighbourhood. As such we view privacy and data protection as very important! This is to protect our customers and employees. We aim to be datadriven in our decisions and we try to do this ethically and transparently. As such privacy is central to our operations and not only to reduce business risk.

The Privacy team currently consists of a Privacy Manager (who also has general quality responsibilities as a Quality Manager) and also an interim Privacy Officer who you would replace. The Privacy Officer works closely with the Privacy Manager who leads the Privacy team. The Privacy team is part of the House of Business and reports to the Head of Legal which in turn reports directly to our CFO. The Privacy team regularly works together with outside counsels in the markets we operate in and Tibber has external DPOs in Germany and Netherlands. Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Identifying and alleviating privacy and business risks. We continually want to do better and as part of this you will work to identify risks and find ways to mitigate eliminate or accept these.

Assisting the business in creating value for customers. You see privacy as an enabler to create value. To further this you do what is necessary to enable privacy as part of all areas of the business. You will for example give advice on how to best implement new features and tools respond to personal data breaches and cover all matters privacyrelated for Tibber.

Maintain and develop our privacy program. You will be expected to deliver on the KPIs of this area and plan to achieve our business goals and mission. You will also assist the privacy office in developing the privacy program.

Be a privacy champion. As part of a small privacy team you have a pivotal role in assuring compliance for Tibber. Youre able to champion privacy across the organisation and as such help foster a privacycentric company culture.

Ideal Profile

Relevant educational background. You have a law degree with a few years of experience in data protection.

Market expertise. You know of at least one of the jurisdictions we operate in; Sweden or Norway. It is beneficial if you have jurisdictional knowledge or knowledge in the culture of Germany or the Netherlands.

Autonomy and ownership. You can take the lead on projects and tasks independently and deliver.

Strong communication skills. You have excellent writing skills and can explain privacy matters simply.

Proven relevant experience. You have demonstrated experience in doing risk assessments about privacy and data protection.

Language skills. You have working capacity proficiency in English (our company language) and Swedish or Norwegian (our market languages). German or Dutch (our other two markets) is a bonus.

Global experience. It is beneficial if you have experience in working with multinational companies.

Passion for our product. Your profile will stand out if you have an interest in tech and knowledge and/or prior experience within the utility or energy sector.
