The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Martin research group. This position will be funded by a Project in Collaboration with a pharmaceutical company.

ICIQ is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Ruben Martin. The candidate will focus their research on the design of catalytic technologies for the functionalization of CC bonds by a combined utilization of metal catalysts and lightinduce endeavors.
Responsibilities
The candidate will conduct independent research as well as in collaboration with group members of the group and/or the project.
Requirements:
The candidate must have a PhD in chemistry.
We are looking for candidates with a solid and proven track record in Organometallic chemistry particularly in crosscoupling reactions and in photochemical settings who has an interest in the development of metalcatalysed crosscoupling reactions for forging sp3bondlinkages.
The candidate must submit the following documents: (a) a CV (specifying any relevant experience along with a detailed description of previous accomplishments); (b) a cover letter highlighting the interest in the position the reasons for applying to our group his/her particular strengths & weaknesses future career plans hobbies selfmotivation and ability to work on a team; (c) a short description of previous research: (d) names and contact addresses of at least two referees that might be willing to write down a recommendation letter.
Proven good knowledge of English.
Candidates must have a strong background and proven track record in organometallic chemistry particularly in crosscoupling reactions and in photocatalysis with considerable experience on the optimization of catalytic reactions and excellent Schlenk techniques when dealing with air and moisturesensitive species.
Capable of working in a team decision making creative thinking and problem solving.
The selected candidate should be motivated openminded dynamic and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
Strong commitment for scientific research in a competitive environment.
We offer:
A 3year fulltime contract.
Remuneration according to individuals qualification/experience.
Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments.

Selection Process
ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases:
Preselection: The preselection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates CVs. This phase is meritbased.
Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
Offer Letter:Once the successful candidate is selected the People Unit will extend a Job Offer specifying the start day salary and overall job conditions.
