Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phacoemulsification surgeries with precision and proficiency
• Evaluate and diagnose ophthalmic conditions and prescribe appropriate treatment plans
• Conduct preoperative and postoperative assessments for surgical patients
• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients addressing their concerns and managing their expectations
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and quality of care
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient consultations and treatments
• Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance surgical and medical skills
• Adhere to clinical protocols and guidelines for maintaining a safe and effective surgical environment
• Communicate effectively with patients families and other healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Board certification in Ophthalmology
• Fellowship training in phacoemulsification and ophthalmic surgery
• Licensure to practice medicine and ophthalmology in the relevant state/province
• Proven experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries independently
• Proficiency in assessing ophthalmic conditions and formulating treatment plans
• Sound understanding of ophthalmic surgical techniques and equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ethical and professional conduct in patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a teambased healthcare setting
