Optometrist

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity and detect visual problems
• Diagnose and treat visual problems including nearsightedness farsightedness and astigmatism
• Prescribe corrective lenses such as eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed
• Monitor patients eye health and refer to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals as needed
• Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records
• Communicate with other healthcare professionals such as primary care physicians as needed

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state license to practice optometry
• Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
