Seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a leading global provider of engineered solutions for the industrial and government industry.
The ideal candidate has at least five (5) years of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role. You have a wellestablished knowledge of production management operational safety practices procurement inventory processes and quality standards. You are a highly organized detailoriented selfmotivated individual with strong interpersonal skills with the willingness and ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
What you will do:
As part of the Operations Team this individual will oversee the daily manufacturing operations according to established policies and protocols with an emphasis on safety quality and productivity.
- Plan organize direct and manage all daytoday manufacturing quality control procurement and inventory control activities and staff.
- Increase production assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Fully responsible for the production output from quality scheduling and efficiency perspectives.
- Implement protocols in alignment with strategic initiatives.
- Develop systems standards and processes that optimize productivity and create metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets identification of inefficiencies and meeting of objectives. Take corrective actions as needed.
- Develop implement and manage facility safety procedures and ensure complete compliance with all company and OSHA workplace safety requirements and policies.
- Fully manage inventory to include establishment and maintenance of minimum and maximum quantity levels.
- Ensure timely ordering processing and accurate record keeping of received goods.
- Revamp and maintain Company document control system for all forms of documentation including engineering drawings quality documents forms customersupplied documents manuals and regulatory documents using both electronic and paper methods.
- Communicate and coordinate processes and procedures with China facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in a STEM or Engineering discipline.
- Conversational Chinese language skills desired.
- Familiarity with standard industry equipment with a strong technical aptitude.
- Proficient in the use of an ERP system. Prior experience with Global Shop or MS AX ERP systems is preferred.
- Expertise in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Creative problem solver who is capable of being flexible and working under pressure.
- Able to create accountability and lead by example.
- Legally authorized to work in the US
OTHER
- Familiarity with xray technology.
- Ability to understand and interpret various physical mechanical and electrical documents BOMS blueprints drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements.
- Ability to travel to other company facilities and customer sites as needed.
