Nurse Coordinator Oncology

• Shift: Days 8 hrs Monday to Friday 40hrs / week
  
• Location: Hybrid Redwood City CA
  

• Assessing the physical and emotional needs of oncology patients.
  
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  
• Administering chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed.
  
• Coordinating with other healthcare professionals including physicians surgeons radiation oncologists and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.
  
• Scheduling appointments for patients including consultations diagnostic tests and followup visits.
  
• Facilitating communication between members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  
• Maintaining accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation.
  
• Overseeing the scheduling of treatments procedures and surgeries.
  
• Ordering supplies and medications needed for patient care.
  
• Advocating for patients rights and preferences within the healthcare system.
  
• Helping patients navigate complex medical decisions and healthcare processes.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution. (preferred)
  

• RN Registered Nurse
  
• BLS Basic Life Support
  

• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
