MEP BIM MODELER

POSITION PURPOSE

BIM modeler responsible to creating and maintaining 3D models using BIM software, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other members of the design and construction team, ensuring the models are accurate and meet project requirements, and using the models to identify and resolve conflicts or issues during the design phase. Additionally, they use BIM to support constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, facility management, and operations during the buildings lifecycle

BIM KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation of MEP BIM Models from design drawings, coordinated with Architectural and Structural Models.
• Coordination of BIM Models using Navisworks.
• Creation of Parametric Revit Families.
• Creation of Revit Models from Point cloud.
• Creation of detailed shop drawings, sleeve drawings, as built drawings, Schematic diagrams, making RFI etc.
• BIM 360 Collaboration projects.
• Do the quality check.
• Aware about BIM standards.
• Scan to BIM
• Follow Revit content standards and development procedures.
• May take the lead on developing some discipline-specific Revit modelling content for project.
• Print drawing sets for professional teams and participate in discipline reviews.
• Prepare own discipline model and/or content for Revit coordination meetings
• Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and schedules etc for all Electrical, mechanical & Plumbing

MECHANICAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply International Plumbing codes & International building codes.
• Research applicable building codes and sub-codes for design of systems.
• Design Sanitary, Domestic Water, Storm/Grey Water and Gas Piping Systems under the supervisor of the Senior Designer.
• Design experience consists of sizing interior storm, sanitary, domestic water, venting, and RPZ systems.
• Design layout included layout and some sizing of Domestic water, Sanitary, Storm.
• Developed Isometric Risers for domestic water systems and sanitary systems.
• Water heating system design Perform mark-ups for drafter.
• Calculate, size, and conceive domestic water, gas, sanitary, storm, and fire protection systems.
• Create riser diagrams for the sanitary, domestic water and storm water systems.
• Coordinated all Mechanical and Plumbing equipment locations within mechanical rooms.
• Specialized in mechanical rooms, bathroom groups and water entry systems.
• Coordinate the plumbing system design with other project contributors, such as client, vendors, architects and other engineering trades.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & TRAINING

• Diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
