Mathematics - Teacher - Middle School

We are looking to recruit a well qualified Mathematics teacher for a well regarded international school for a Sept 2024 start.

Established in 2016 this K12 international school is situated at the base of the scenic and historic YuQuan Mountain in Haidian District Beijing. Spanning 200000 square meters the campus features enchanting gardens that seamlessly blend natural ecology cultural richness and contemporary aesthetics.

The School is organized into the Primary School grades K5 the Middle School grades 68 and high school grades 912. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Educations nineyear compulsory education program KWAs curriculum is built on strength from both Chinese and western education. For Primary and Middle School they follow a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum. For High School they follow the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also offer the UK IGCSE and ALevel UK programs.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring a love for mathematics fostering critical thinking skills and creating a positive and engaging learning environment for middle school students. Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Delivery:
   • Plan and deliver effective and engaging middle school mathematics lessons that align with curriculum standards.
   • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
2. Student Engagement:
   • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for mathematics.
   • Implement innovative teaching methods and realworld applications to make mathematical concepts relevant and accessible.
3. Assessment and Feedback:
   • Develop and implement various assessment strategies to measure student understanding and progress in mathematics.
   • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
4. Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with other mathematics teachers and educators to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the mathematics program.
   • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
5. Classroom Management:
   • Establish and maintain a wellorganized and conducive learning environment.
   • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere.
6. Communication with Parents/Guardians:
   • Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding student progress achievements and areas for improvement.
   • Attend parentteacher conferences and other schoolrelated events.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

For all other teaching positions: Applications are open to persons of any nationality

• Fouryear degree from an accredited university
• Bachelor of Education PGCE or higher
• Teaching license: QTS national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent
• Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school international school or government/state school

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum qualifications plus the following:

• Masters degree preferably in education or the subject the teacher instructs
• Five years of experience teaching in a bilingual school international school or government/state school
• Candidates currently living in China are preferred

Remuneration & Benefits
