Context of the role
Dupixent is Sanofi & Regeneron co-developed drug, treating severe allergies such as Asthma, Nasal Polyps and Atopic Dermatitis.
Dupixent reached $5Bn sales in 2021, is experiencing significant growth and being authorized for new indications. Dupixent Marketing budget was 1.3Bn$ in 2021, spread across almost 30 touchpoints (TV, digital, sales forces...)
In this context, Sanofi created a Data Science and Development team to build its own Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) solution, to support its leadership, brand and media teams in their Marketing decisions of allocation.
Description of the solution you will work with
The internally developed solution aims at optimizing spend allocation between Marketing channels, to maximize sales. It is made of four main building blocks:
- Automated data collection and ingestion : Ensure rapidity and quality of data collected to be used as entry in the model
- Response model : Build response curves linking spend & sales, to define optimum level of spend
- Optimizer : Optimize allocation of budget given business constraints, to reach business objectives
- Webapp : Self-service webapp for Business teams to create, manage, analyze & compare scenarios
Your role as Marketing Effectiveness and Analytics Manager
Drive Marketing effectiveness by advising Brand and Media teams on Marketing Commercial budget allocation
- Help Brand and Media teams translate optimizer outputs into concrete action plans (e.g., identifying root causes of Marketing ineffectiveness and associated levers of improvement)
- Provide external benchmarks to propose additional improvement opportunities on budget allocation and marketing effectiveness
- Ensure full coherence and challenge allocation scenarios proposed by teams
Help Sanofi Digital team develop and roll-out a self-service webapp for Business teams to review past MMM results, and run allocation simulations
- Work hand in hand with Data Science and Analytics teams, and foster best practices by :
- providing expertise and support - giving feedbacks on solution from discussions with business teams and work with solution Product Owner to help him best prioritize features, in order to maximize value
Lead upskilling effort & support implementation of new ways of working
- Conduct workshops and training sessions with brand, media & Salesforces teams to educate on the tool, increase business engagement and foster best practices - help teams make the tool their own
- Ensure appropriate use of the tool during Business milestones (e.g., Budget, Brand plan...) -
- Write & share playbooks to ease roll-out to new markets
