Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager in Compensation and Benefits to join our clients team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations compliance and payroll management with at least 5 years of experience. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the HR Director.
Office Location: Andheri East Mumbai
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management:
- Calculate employees pay based on days worked deductions taxes and benefits.
- Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions.
- Ensure timely payment of all payrollrelated taxes.
- Handle payroll processing for the entire hiretoretire cycle.
- Labor Laws & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and implement necessary adjustments.
- HR Operations:
- Oversee endtoend HR operations including payroll benefits administration and employee records management.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding salary benefits and taxes.
- HR Policies:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits such as health insurance retirement plans and group gratuity scheme.
- Administer employee insurance including GPA GTL and Mediclaim.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with income tax regulations.
- File quarterly and annual TDS returns and handle issuance of Form 16.
- Reporting:
- Generate reports related to payroll expenses taxes and other relevant data to facilitate decisionmaking.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in endtoend payroll activities.
- Experience managing payroll processing for at least 300 permanent employees.
- Strong understanding and practical application of income tax maternity act labor laws group gratuity scheme and new pension scheme.
- Familiarity with employee insurance processes.
- MBA from Tier 1 institutes or equivalent experience in a reputable organization.
- Experience in a product/services company preferred.
