Job Description

- Oracle products Installation, Upgrades, and Administration
- Oracle Grid infrastructure Installation, Upgrades and Administration
- Oracle Data Guard and HA's solutions Installation and Administration
- Expert level in SQL tuning and diagnosing database performance issues, as well as sharing recommendations to resolve
- Microsoft SQL Server Installation, Upgrades, and Administration
- Microsoft SQL Server HA solutions including mirroring and Always-on’s setup, maintenance and administration
- Establishing procedures for database backup policies for all database servers in scope
- Coordinating & planning DR tests between HQ and DR sites
- Database capacity management and monitoring of usage of oracle resources, licenses, and reporting in case of reaching thresholds
- Participating in Coaching and training junior & new DBA team members
- Establishing procedures of proactive DB monitoring and arrange for the preventive actions to avoid issue re-occurring
- Planning for future DB upgrades as per partner and technology's recommendations with alignment with IT and other concerned departments
- Incident recording and reporting for all DB-related issues
- Ensuring that database security measures and standards are always met as per internal security policy of the entity
- Participating in solution development for small and medium deals
- Ensuring that best practices are always utilized for the systems in scope, along with defining the proper checklists
- Ability to handle most unique situations
