Job Description

- Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures
- Work collaboratively with other members of the interventional radiology team, including nurses, technologists, and anesthesiologists
- Maintain a high level of clinical competence and keep abreast of new developments in the field through continued medical education
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Perform image-guided biopsies, drainages, and ablations
- Place peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), dialysis catheters, and other vascular access devices
- Perform transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS)
- Manage patients pre-procedure, during the procedure, and post-procedure, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
- Keep accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure optimal patient care
- Serve on committees and work groups as needed
