Teamworx are delighted to be recruiting for a RESTAURANT MANGER for their clients 4 Star hotel in South

Job Purpose:

To ensure friendly and efficient service in restaurant whilst controlling costs and maintaining agreed standards of performance to ensure they meet the consistent requirements dictated by

Duties & Responsibilities:


  1. To lead by example through a hands on approach to motivate your team members to
  2. To effectively supervise all food and beverage service in the restaurant & room service to the agreed
  3. To carry out skills training for all team members to ensure a consistent level of service, standards and skills are
  4. To ensure that all new starters receive a departmental induction
  5. To attend meetings and training sessions as required
  6. To prepare effective rosters to ensure ample cover for the level of business and to incorporate the fair rotation of time/weekends off for all team members
  7. To ensure that all areas are cleaned on a daily basis and are maintained in a hygienic manner
  8. To maintain crockery, cutlery and linen stocks to par stock level and ensure all measures are implemented to control breakages/loss
  9. To identify training requirements for team members and develop appropriate actions to meet these
  10. To carry out on going work performance assessments with team members and follow the annual appraisal process as per the hotel policy
  11. To deal with complaints/queries in an attentive and courteous manner and inform the Manager on Duty of action taken and any follow up required
  12. To carry out pre-service briefings of the menu, type of reservations, VIP s
  13. To be aware of any special requirements of guests and inform team members as appropriate
  14. To be responsible for wine stocks and ensure agreed control procedures are maintained
  15. To promote in-house sales Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, Lobby,
  16. To ensure orders are taken promptly and clearly
  17. To check frequently that guests are content with meal and ensure that all guests receive polite and courteous attention
  18. To ensure that tables are always free of unnecessary crockery, cutlery, glassware, sauces
  19. To ensure that all food leaving the kitchen is of agreed standard
  20. To ensure that all guests are billed correctly and thanked for their business
  21. To ensure that cash handling procedures are followed at all times
  22. To ensure that good interdepartmental cooperation and communication is encouraged and maintained
  23. To carry out a departmental meeting once per month as per hotel SOP
  24. To comply with hotel regulations regarding:
  • Fire,
  • Health & Safety
  • Hygiene
  • Customer Care
  • Security
  1. To maintain the standard of uniform and personal hygiene as set out in the hotel standards of appearance policy
  2. To take on additional projects from outside the remit of Food & Beverage as required from time to time
  3. Carry out Manager on Duty shifts as required by business demands
  4. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business
