Our Client is an international leading commercial real estate investment company with a solid portfolio of retail assets in the most active markets of the CEE region. The company is looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team in Budapest Hungary.
The role will report to the Chief Accountant and closely collaborate with an international team.

Your primary role involves overseeing the accounting operations related to the company s operations in Hungary ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Main responsibilities (but not restricted to):
- Financial Management and Reporting: Assist in preparing accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Taxation and Compliance: Manage tax filings and stay updated with changes in tax regulations. Collaborate with the Chief Accountant to ensure compliance across all financial operations.
- Collaboration with External Entities: Maintain effective communication with external partners and suppliers ensuring smooth financial transactions and relationships.
- Support in Financial Projects: Assist the Chief Accountant in implementing new accounting software and structuring the accounting team. Contribute to the transition of accounting functions from external services.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the internal team (local and international) and share knowledge and insights especially regarding changes in financial and tax regulations.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in General Ledger operations
- Higher education in the field of: Finance Accounting Economics.
- Prior experience in the real estate sector will be a great advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members and external providers.
- Responsibility selfreliance accuracy and ability to work under time pressure.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics experience.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Native Hungarian language together with fluent English (or at least intermediate level)
