We are seeking an Instructional Designer for our Business School with industry experience in the design and development of engaging innovative performancebased instructorled learning training. Although courses at ABS are primarily instructorled the integration of learning technology and digital content is critical.

At the Business School design and development projects are usually teambased with instructional designers partnering with subjectmatter experts (SMEs) technical writers and graphic artists in the design and development of the learning experiences. In these projects the instructional designer is expected to perform three major functions: project management instructional design and content development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Instructional Design or related field required
  • 10 years of experience designing performancebased technical training for professionals
  • Managing L&D projects
  • Ability to work closely with subjectmatter experts (SMEs) partnering with them through the design process to elicit knowledge to manage their deliverables and process to negotiate and influence without authority
  • Ability to quickly understand simplify organize and present complex information
  • Experience developing learning assessments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia
  • Australia or New Zealand native or currently living/working in Australia or New Zealand

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daytoday management of multiple instructional design and development projects including timelines schedules work scope and deliverables of assigned projects
  • Apply instructional design principles in the design of effective and engaging training courses for instructorled training (ILT) virtual instructorled training (VILT) and eLearning in English
  • Develop Kirkpatrick Level 2 and Level 3 assessment tools
  • Develop written training materials and content for ILT VILT and eLearning
  • Develop training materials in English
  • Analyze existing course designs and instructional materials and make improvements as necessary

Alternatively employees may obtain housing in the local communities outside of the Company communities for which we provide a rental assistance allowance.
  • Free medical care: We provide medical care via our Johns Hopkins medical network or contracted hospitals and clinics. These facilities are among the finest in the Middle East.

  • Voluntary Group Life and Accident Insurance: you may enrol in a voluntary program providing term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage equal to 12 18 24 or 30 times your monthly base salary. Favorable group rates keep the premium low.
  • Shortterm Disability: In the event you are unable to work due to illness or injury shortterm disability income benefits are provided. The benefit is 30 days full pay and 60 days at threequarters pay in any one year period.
  • Death Benefit: Company pays an exgratia death benefit equal to 24 months base pay if death is from an industrial accident and 12 months base pay if death is nonindustrial related.
