Job Purpose The Head of Finance & Operations will be responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of Straumann Jordan. The position holder is a key member of the country leadership team and will assume an important role in the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the overall country strategy, with emphasis on top / bottom line performance, working capital and enhancing shareholder value. The position holder provides leadership, management and vision to ensure that the country organization has the required operational controls, as well as administrative and reporting procedures in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operational efficiency. Overseeing all financial functions including financial accounting, reporting, planning, and controlling are part of this responsibility. The Head of Finance & Operations also oversees the important functions of Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse, HR and IT, to deliver on the Straumann promise to be the most customer focused oral care company in the world. The ideal candidate is a change agent who is motivated and energized by taking an active role in leading the fast-paced growth of Straumann Jordan in a highly dynamic and complex business environment. Main Tasks and Responsibilities • Define the country financial strategy, manage financial capital, and communicate capital requirements/ implications of business decisions to the Country Lead Team, the regional head of finance, EMEA and HQ Finance colleagues. • Provide strategic leadership to the operations functions to enable a best in class customer experience through ongoing process improvement initiatives; measurement of deliverables to name just a few. • Supervise stock management and replenishment together with the net working capital management in particular accounts receivable. • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all reporting requirements (financial statements, balance sheet, special analysis and information reports, etc.), and oversee financial accounting provided by the Central Accounting Team. • Manage the ongoing schedule of financial responsibilities (monthly/quarterly/annually): internal and external financial reporting; coordinate and lead the audit process; budgeting; internal controls etc. • Ensure compliance with legal reporting, accounting and tax requirements as well as corporate reporting standards (IFRS) • Maintain a legally compliant, robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements. • Manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, adherence to quality, and maximize warehouse productivity. • Supervise a team of Customer Service Representatives ensure their readiness to support customers. • Manage the local HR policies and procedures and maintain accurate employee data in the different related systems. • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. • Coordinate and monitor the external partner companies in the areas of finance, taxes, and HR. Education/Professional experience • 10+ years of progressive experience in a senior-level finance or controlling position ideally with financial management experience in an international context and a high-growth organization. • Experience in working within an international matrix organization . • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting and other Finance related certifications (CPA, CFA etc.) with local and international (IFRS) accounting standards required. • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently on complex financial models • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and experience with accounting systems. Experience with SAP is an asset as this ERP system will potentially be implemented in the upcoming years. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
