Tasks
YOUR CHALLENGES
The main purpose of this role is to manage Requirements that come into the HWI&P team from receipt to closure and the monitoring and management of the single point of service contact tool. As a single point of service contact for all installation and planning purposes your role is critical for the entire team. This role therefore requires a high level of organisation and prioritisation skills, a mature approach and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Sending acknowledgement of Requirements within 24 hours of receipt
- Reviewing Requirements received for completeness, and dealing promptly with any queries with the originator, and ensuring that responses are obtained
- Assignment of complete Requirements to the Hardware Installation & Planning (HWIP) team
- Liasing with HWIP Team where necessary for quotations, surveys and work prioritisation
- Dealing with all other mail in the Task ID including resolution of queries not related to Requirements
- Escalating any urgent situations to the Datacentre Operations Manager for the datacentre concerned
- Attending the weekly Requirements Meeting, taking minutes including any actions required
- Updating the Requirements database following the Monday meeting on behalf of the Planners and Installers with any relevant information (planned completion dates etc)
- Ensuring that documentation regarding Requirements is filed accurately
- Performing progress chasing on Requirements with both Customers and Planners to ensure that an accurate status is maintained. This may include closing Requirements which have been static for > 90 days after liaison with the customer concerned
- Producing reporting from the Database for the Datacentre Operations Managers
- Reconciling JCI billing spreadsheets against Requirements
- Liasing with Planners and Installers to ensure that the Requirements database is maintained accurately
- Coordination with the Datacentre Analysts with regard to assets being installed and decommissioned (generally by ensuring that HWMP forms are received with Requirements and passed on if necessary)
- Raising the 'daily change' for specified IBM datacentres
- Management of change records assigned to the team
- Management of problem records assigned to the team
- Acting as single point of contact for queries from Security related to deliveries
- Receipt and distribution of reports from the CCM team relating to expected deliveries
Requirements
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant functional experience with regards to Hardware Planning and Installation tasks
- Data Center industry experience
- ICT / Server knowledge
- Good methodical skills in terms of coordination and planning
- High level of computer / IT literacy
- Highly organised and able to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English language (written and verbal)
