Job Description

Job Title:GCP Data Analyst / SME
Work Location & Type: Location: London or Edinburgh (3 days)
Role Description:
Experienced data analyst to analyse the existing Database or Data Warehouse jobs and work with Data Modeler in designing the Data Products on GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Back trace the Database or Data Warehouse jobs and prepare STTM (SourceToTarget Mapping) sheets
  • Identify the source and downstream systems corresponding to system in scope of migration/reimagination
  • Identify the data ingestion and data consumption patterns and define the target state requirements
  • Should help the Data Modeler in designing Enterprise Data Products
  • Should understand the Data Model terminology (Conceptual Data Model Logical Data Model Physical Data Model)
  • Knowledge of enterprise data modelling techniques such as star schema snowflake schema etc
  • Data denormalization and normalization techniques
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
  • Experience in Advanced SQL SSIS packages Python and Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge in ER Studio
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (including components such as GCS buckets BigQuery Kafka etc.)
  • Experience in Agile Methodology
