Job Description
Job Title:GCP Data Analyst / SME
Work Location & Type: Location: London or Edinburgh (3 days)
Role Description:
Experienced data analyst to analyse the existing Database or Data Warehouse jobs and work with Data Modeler in designing the Data Products on GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Back trace the Database or Data Warehouse jobs and prepare STTM (SourceToTarget Mapping) sheets
- Identify the source and downstream systems corresponding to system in scope of migration/reimagination
- Identify the data ingestion and data consumption patterns and define the target state requirements
- Should help the Data Modeler in designing Enterprise Data Products
- Should understand the Data Model terminology (Conceptual Data Model Logical Data Model Physical Data Model)
- Knowledge of enterprise data modelling techniques such as star schema snowflake schema etc
- Data denormalization and normalization techniques
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
- Experience in Advanced SQL SSIS packages Python and Shell Scripting
- Knowledge in ER Studio
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (including components such as GCS buckets BigQuery Kafka etc.)
- Experience in Agile Methodology
