- Protecting the home country's citizens traveling abroad, strengthening border security, and performing consulate duties.
- Assisting foreign nationals traveling to the home country and evacuating refugees.
- Working on economic partnerships and developments and supporting business interests abroad.
- Managing embassies and promoting diplomacy.
- Analyzing political events and developments and reporting to state departments.
- Explaining policies and values and interacting with foreign citizens and leaders.
