Join our dynamic Global Product Safety team and make a significant impact as the Global Dangerous Goods Specialist.
Reporting directly to the Product Safety Global Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with international and national transport regulations for the entire Solenis portfolio.
As a Global Dangerous Goods Specialist, your responsibilities will include providing expert guidance on documentation and labelling requirements for dangerous goods.
You'll be a vital link between the Product Regulatory team and the Supply Chain group, addressing DG-related inquiries and offering valuable insights.
Additionally, you will be at the forefront of monitoring, interpreting, and communicating transportation classification requirements worldwide. Take charge of maintaining DG data in the SAP-EHS module to keep our operations seamless and compliant.
What You'll Do:
.
providing guidance on documentation and labelling requirements for dangerous goods according to international and national transport regulations
.
monitoring, interpreting and communicating requirements related to transportation classification
.
working with competent authorities and/or DG association groups whenever it is needed
.
auditing SAP DG for data quality and substance data for compliance with required regulatory test protocols
.
support in auditing Solenis plants in terms of ADR/IMDG/IATA procedures and trainings
.
creating and maintaining DG data objects in SAP including regular updates provided by outside data provider
.
assessing and removing order/delivery/shipment SAP blocks if needed with quick turnaround time
.
participating in a global transportation classification network to ensure alignment and consistency of regional classification principles and work processes
.
leading improvement projects related to Dangerous Goods Management in order to have global corporate processes in place, like DG Audit Program or Global DG Training Program
What You'll Bring:
.
Master’s degree (preferred) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or similar.
.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Chemical industry as DG specialist, working with DG global regulations
.
Very good knowledge in GHS, Dangerous goods regulations (ADR/IMDG/IATA procedures and requirements).
.
DGSA certification is a plus
.
SAP-EHS module knowledge is a plus
.
Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Power Point, Sharepoint)
.
Very good time management skills
.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

.
Ability to work as a member of a team in a timeline-driven environment with limited supervision
.
Excellent Project Coordination skill
