ME MEDICAL RECRUITMENT We are currently recruiting for an unaccredited Surgical Registrar for a fixed term contact for 12 months commencing May 2024. Advance trainees accepted .

This is a full time position which is two hours drive from Melbourne.


General Surgery Registrar

Come enjoy a busy and proactive regional facility which provides care for an extensive rural and regional catchment area with 5 other registrars in a new hospital. The Paediatrics Unit comprises of a 12 bed Child & Adolescent Unit along with a 10 cot Special Care Nursery (1500 births per year). The position provides an excellent clinical and learning experience in a supported environment delivering a diverse range of care for Paediatric patients across the Region.

Work with an extremely supportive and approachable Paediatric consultant group; we have 24 hour Resident/HMO and Registrar presence in the hospital with Consultant on call. This position meets the rural rotation requirements for advanced training in general paediatrics and it is also an opportunity to experience true paediatrics.


Position Available: 2 x 3 6 9 or 12 month Advanced Trainee positions commencing from May 2024 May 2025 (hospital based)
Department: Paediatrics
Classification: HM25 to HM30
Hours: 86 per fortnight
Other requirements: COVID19 Vaccination

Requirements

  • MBBS OR EQUIVALENT
  • AHPRA GENERAL REGISTRATION OR RACS ASSESSED PARTIALLY COMPARABLE GENERAL SURGERY
  • AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF POST GRADUTATE GENERAL SURGICAL EXPERIENCE IN AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND OR UK
