Freelance Financial Analyst (m/f/d)

Who we re looking for

We re looking for a Freelance Financial Analyst to support our product and business teams with financial insights, using Metabase as your BI tool, and some SQL.

Tasks

What the role involves

• Dive deep into Steadys business, looking at Revenue and Churn, as well as Modelling and Forecasting
• Work with people across teams to compile a monthly report on our financial KPIs
• Help our leadership team make data-informed business decisions
• Tell stories with data: find and explain the hidden meaning behind our numbers
• Use our self-serve data infrastructure, or write a SQL query when things get more complicated
• Be showered with gratitude for helping answer complex questions (we have many!)

Tech stack

• Metabase as our BI tool (similar to Tableau or Looker)
• Postgres as our data warehouse
• Google Sheets for all our Spreadsheet needs

Requirements

Ideally you

• Have actively worked with financial data before at a job/internship at a product/SaaS company, in your spare time for a charity or meet-up, or in an open-source project
• Have solid understanding of economics and company finances, as well as fundamental knowledge of SQL (we use Postgres)
• Are curious about the Creator Economy and motivated to help creators thrive
• Bring strong quantitative skills, an analytical mindset, as well as some experience communicating and visualising data to others so they can learn from it and take action
• Effectively and proactively communicate and collaborate and know how to share the results of your work in an easily understandable manner
• Share our values of respect, gratitude and trial-and-error
• Like working with people from different teams and functions, especially our Product team and our Operations/Business team

We re looking for someone who could join us on a part-time basis for 15-20h/week at EUR 30/hour. We re building our data team and looking for people who are excited to build it with us. You will be collaborating closely with the Finance team, our in-house Data Manager, our COO and almost all teams across the organisation.
