- Maintain and implement policies and procedures to manage the risk of non-compliance
- Verify that departments are in compliance with WPP policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations
- Address any violations and detect fraud, implementing and monitoring corrective actions
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the company's internal control structure meeting all SOX and audit compliance process
- Provide training and support regarding compliance, internal control activities, and risk management strategies
- Participate in maintaining and implementing policies and procedures to manage the risk of non-compliance
- Oversight of Chartered Accountant - FESAA - Ethics behaviors, Principles of Action and Code of Conduct - Prevention of and conflict of interest - International trade compliance - Data protection, privacy and digital security - Competition law - Investigations of suspected fraudulent activities, non-compliance practices, and improper behaviors
- Perform assurance activities to evaluate and develop the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk management and the internal control structure, processes, activities, and transactions
- Develop and implement a flexible risk-based annual audit plan including special tasks or projects requested by the group, local management, and the audit committee
- Determine whether the company's network of governance, risk management, and control processes is adequate and functioning in a manner to ensure that risks are appropriately identified and efficiently managed
- Conduct and assist in the investigation of suspected fraudulent activities and non-compliance practices
- Maintain professional audit staff with sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience
