- In close cooperation with the assigned project Managers in geographical area reinforce existing procedures and systems for financial management and control in compliance with guidelines of CMU Financial management SOPs & internal guidelines, DRC’s Operations Handbook, and donor requirements
- Support timely delivery of quality financial reports to donors and internal reports to colleagues, steering committee, government of Jordan and DRC country office
- Ensure compliance with relevant country statutory and other financial obligations such as tax, levies and statutory returns
- Provide monthly financial briefings to relevant Manager and as needed
- Ensure thorough and effective budgetary control in the RYSE project
- Lead budgeting process for the RYSE project in coordination with responsible Manager in the CMU and partners’ implementation units
- Track and review budget change requests including re-allocations, re-bookings and ensure compliance with the approved budget and level of flexibility given by the donor
- Monitor, investigate and document overspending and underspending in budget lines by the CMU and projects partners and recommend corrective actions to the COP
