Finance Assistant
Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Assistant to join our team. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the bank's internal controls and monitoring mechanisms. You will be responsible for assisting in the execution of control and monitoring activities, identifying any areas of weakness or non-compliance, and supporting the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve operational processes within the bank.

Responsibilities:
Assist in executing control and monitoring activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness of internal controls.
Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas of potential weakness or non-compliance.
Support the development and implementation of control and monitoring policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control and monitoring mechanisms into various business processes and systems.
Assist in monitoring and analyzing key risk indicators and performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, or areas requiring improvement.
Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations on control and monitoring activities.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in control and monitoring.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Prior experience in risk management, internal control, auditing, or related fields is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for control and monitoring activities.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CRMA will be considered an asset
