Fellowship program 2024

Want to get firsthand experience in Venture Capital We are looking for a Fellow to join our team in Berlin for a period of 9 to 12 months. As a Fellow you will be a part of and working with our investment team gaining rich handson experience in venture capital covering the Americas Europe and Asia.

The Fellowship program is a stepping stone into the industry offering handson learning that will put you in a prime position to break into VC. Since our inaugural batch from Q1 2020 most Foundamental fellows landed permanent VC roles!

Tasks

You are the first point of contact for founders and will manage the deal flow process

You will analyze startups to propose new investments and support our portfolio companies

You will conduct deep due diligence generate detailed investment memos financial models and recommendations

You will manage internal tools & processes including deal pipeline portfolio performance analytics & internal reporting

Supporting entrepreneurs in building enduring companies with strategy & planning

Requirements

Who we are looking for

• You have already gained internship or up to 2 years of experience in fastpaced environments relevant experience in areas such as VC PE consulting or technology is a plus
• You own it like a pro: you are the kind of person who takes responsibility follows through and isnt afraid to stand up and say Ive got this
• Youre an independent gogetter: you will be given execution responsibility from day one and we need to know you wont need constant handholding to get things done
• Youve got a knack for the nittygritty: In the world of venture capital the tiniest details can make or break a deal. You need to be someone who leaves no stone unturned.
• Youre a multitasking wizard able to manage multiple projects at once and capable of switching gears like a ninja! Were all about keeping many balls in the air and your multitasking prowess will be our secret weapon
• You are naturally nosy but in a good way: youre the type who dives into random Wikipedia rabbit holes just for fun loves watching TED Talks and cant resist exploring the why and how of thing
• You possess exceptional analytical skills are highly motivated and are known for underpromising and overdelivering
• You are humble energetic and proactive and have strong interpersonal skills
• You breathe technology and are genuinely passionate about the startup industry and venture capital

• Start date: ASAP or January 2024
• Visa requirement: Schengen Zone visa for the time of the fellowship.
• Duration: 912 months.
• Location: Berlin.
• Language: excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Any other language is a plus
