MacArthur Recruitment are looking for an individual with a solid background in Manufacturing Management to join our client as a Factory Manager. You will lead a key section of production and manufacture with a successful Cumbrian company who wish to ensure it s a World Class
Key to the role and your experiences are excellent leadership qualities, production / manufacturing knowledge and an educational grounding in a mechanical or electrical The factory operates in a Continuous Improvement (CI)
Responsibilities for the role of Factory Manager :
- Able to, and experienced in, managing and developing a large team of people with mixed skill levels and functions
- Able to work very well with people with great communication skills
- Managing an environment containing complex, high-speed machinery
- Embrace Continuous improvement / CI
- Ensuring effective implementation of 6S (mandatory)
- Review, suggest and implement process improvements to manufacturing and distribution
- Ensure safe, timely and efficient production and distribution to quality
- Able to adapt to change and solutions oriented
- Recruit, develop and coach the teams
- Able to ensure and achieve safety, quality, service and profit and develop people, their performance and skills
- Customer service exceed customer expectations
- Business execute business strategies to achieve business growth and security year on year
- Ensure optimum operational efficiency
Background for the role of Factory Manager:
- Great leadership and people management skills
- Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification and experience
- Continuous improvement / CI
- Manufacturing and production in a high value branded consumables environment (desirable)
- Understanding of brand importance
- Record of achieving a high level of safety, quality, profit, production cost and people excellence
- 6S and lean principles, audits, improvements (mandatory)
