Job Description

  • Oversee all campus services departments including events planning support, food service, travel and business support (mail and printing services) , transportation, housing, medical services, and housekeeping and grounds cleaning, across all University campuses and facilities, including off-campus residences and student housing.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement mechanisms, including standing committees, focus groups, and surveys to guide service enhancement
  • Measure customer service across units and implement data-driven measures to strive for continuous improvement
  • Assess efficiencies to optimize services for each department, along with functional and financial efficiencies.
  • Oversee the relevant housekeeping and other service contracts, and ensure their execution comply with the relevant university legal and procurement regulations as well as market standards.
  • Develop and execute in collaboration with human resources a staff development program to equip all staff with the required communications and customer-centered skills to foster agility and responsiveness
  • Oversee the performance of all vendors and third-party providers of campus services to ensure the best service, efficiency, fiscal responsibility, resource management, and compliance with all AUC policies.
  • Work in close partnership with the Tahrir operations director to provide quality campus services on the Tahrir Square campus and ensure the efficient utilization of resources and optimum use of the facilities.
  • Serve as a member of the Management and Operations leadership team, working collaboratively with all campus services functions, security, and others to ensure a cohesive, client-centered approach.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulations related to building maintenance and safety.
  • Develop and monitor strong KPI measures for all departments, benchmarking, and adoption of best practices across industry and higher education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
