We are looking for an Engineer Manager Infrastructure to head our diverse and distributed cloud team to efficiently run our platform product with the developers and customers. We are working in hybrid mode, but you'll be able to choose from which office you would like to work: Berlin, Hamburg, Milan or Madrid.

Tasks

In this role, you will:

• Run our infrastructure as a platform product with the developers as customers
• Enable the services to our engineers to efficiently develop, deploy, monitor, and manage their applications and be a sparring partner for SREs and DevOPs in the application teams
• Head the cloud team running our infrastructure platform as a service, including hosting, data & storage, observability, tooling, and CI/CD
• Provide a stable, secure, and scaling platform to our customers across different countries, regions, and hyperscalers
• Collaborate with product operations and compliance teams to ensure high-quality and compliance
• Lead the platform strategy, selecting the right technologies and tools, and overseeing the budget
• Discuss and explain our infrastructure to our customers and commercial team
• Oversee the IT Admin team and InfoSec

The team is diverse and distributed across Germany, Spain and Italy and collaborates on a daily basis over GitLab, Jira, Teamspeak, Zoom, and Slack.

Requirements

What You Will Bring Along

• Hands-on experience with modern platforms close to our technology stack (Kubernetes, SAP Gardener, GitLab, Elastic, Helm, Linkerd / Buoyant Cloud, CockroachDB, MongoDB, Hashicorp Vault Enterprise, Snyk) and hosting on hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, OpenStack, VMware vSphere)
• Experience in fintechs and regulated environments
• Experience in leading, organizing, and mentoring teams

• Proven experience leading an engineering team
