About the position

For our core engineering team we are looking for an Embedded IoT Systems Engineer who will take ownership of software development for our Linuxbased onboard computer to ensure AWAKE Mobilitys platform is kept fed with highquality vehicle data.

Tasks

What you will be responsible for

• Designing and developing (embedded) software for our onboard computer to reliably collect process and transmit vehicle data.
• Building resources on AWS that ingest data delivered by our onboard computers.
• Ensuring our onboard computers remain secure by using stateoftheart security methods.
• Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in embedded systems and IoT development and apply them to our onboard computers.

Requirements

What you bring to the table

• 3 years of experience in development for embedded/IoT systems running Linux.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded development: C/C and shell scripting. Python is a big plus.
• An excellent grasp of IoT concepts protocols and security.
• Experience with vehicle sensor data and automotive communication protocols such as CAN and OBD is a big plus
• Experience with AWS is a big plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
