Need someone with Custom Automation systems / automated equipment experience.
General Summary:
Manage the Electrical Engineering team of 8 to 12 employees ensuring efficient quality electrical engineering and testing of custom automation systems. Provides technical guidance to Electrical Engineering Commissioning teams as we work through design program and testing these complex automation systems. Plans the daily and weekly activities of the Electrical Engineers as well as ensuring all training is up to date and effective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
Manage the Electrical Engineering team of 8 to 12 employees ensuring efficient quality electrical engineering and testing of custom automation systems. Provides technical guidance to Electrical Engineering Commissioning teams as we work through design program and testing these complex automation systems. Plans the daily and weekly activities of the Electrical Engineers as well as ensuring all training is up to date and effective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
- LMA
- Lead the team in the direction of the company vision.
- Manage the team to ensure they have the proper tools skills equipment time and attention to achieve the company goals.
- Accountable creates an environment of accountability and holds employees accountable.
- Issue resolution
- Masters this tool to eliminate roadblocks leverage the experience in the company and keep top management connected with the team.
- Technical Guidance
- Provides technical guidance throughout the design process to meet the contractual obligations of the project.
- Department Capacity
- Manages internal capacity to maintain a sustainable balance.
- Utilizes and manages external resources to support the companys workload.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional college coursework or degree related to design and electrical principles strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years managerial experience required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrical engineering of automated equipment preferred.
- Proven experience working effectively in a team environment and ability to multitask on diverse projects.
- Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add subtract multiply and divide and to make metric system conversions.
