    BAT JORDAN IS LOOKING FOR A ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

  • ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

    Work within a team in the secondary manufacturing department to maintain, upgrade and rebuild manufacturing equipment and support all electrical installations and maintenance to provide a high level of cost-effective support and service to the factory.

    What You Will Be Accountable For
  • Directly support with resolving machines issues and ensure a cts running of production lines.
  • Analyse all machines breakdowns, process failures and take actions to improve maintenance and manufacturing processes taking into considerations budget and manufacturing costs
  • Actively participate in Line Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and execution of the daily plan
  • Effective adherence to maintenance schedules
  • Get in touch with the OEMs once needed.
  • Liaison with Factory Maintenance Lead for scheduling of maintenance works and adjust priorities as per need.
  • Support IE DMS by ensuring compliance to guards, interlocks, machine safety maps & pertinent EHS standards.
  • Participate with implementing the IWS agenda in Jordan by owning a DMS and cascade all the knowledge to the shop floor team
  • Support in development of annual maintenance plan by providing insights and sharing requirements of the lines.
  • Develop Improvement Plans
  • Cascade technical trainings to EOs based on UPDT/PDT/MTBD & OEE trends.
  • Create line OPLs and help replicate it.
  • Help in development of engineering and Technical capabilities
  • Support the Engineering & Site Services/EHS Executive in the development of the related plans
  • Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge
  • SMD shift operations aiming to achieve the specified targets utilising & embedding IWS philosophy. The factory operates in continuous running, i.e., 24 hours a day, 6 days a week except for festival holidays. With induction of highly sophisticated machinery, skill enhancement is the main challenge on shop floor which may affect delivery, Quality and Cost targets.
  • Shifts are manned by both skilled and semi-skilled workforce represented by a CBA. The relatively low worker education base and the local unemployment scenario pose multiple challenges considering the influx of new technology which necessitates job rationalisations. The volatile unionised environment in the adjoining area coupled with the high unemployment factor make it all the more challenging to continuously improve productivity and job rationalizations which are an integral part of our on-going technology improvement footprint. Furthermore, in the absence of a ‘Performance’ based worker remuneration system, alternate motivational means are used. Continuous training and skill gap analysis is required to bridge the skill gap. (Technical training, On job training, softer aspects training etc).
  • Has 1-3 years of experience in FMCG (preferred)
  • Familiar with IWS system (preferred)
  • Achieves technical mastery of equipment and develops it in others
  • Overall strong technical skills
  • Advanced understanding of Elec processes.
  • Good understanding of mechanical processes
  • Understanding of storeroom operating strategies
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to effectively coach and train others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills desired.
  • Interpersonal collaboration skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills useful but not mandatory
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing needs.
  • High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results
  • Drive and aptitude to continue building personal capability.
  • Work Schedule

    6 working days (Saturday- Thursday), 3 shifts pattern, 8 hours per day and call-in support could be required in extreme cases. This is a full-time role.
