Commencing Aug 24 The school founded in 2016 is a K12 international school located at the foot of the picturesque and historic YuQuan Mountain Haidian District in Beijing. The campus is 200000 square meters of beautiful gardens that integrate natural ecology cultural heritage and modern beauty with 140000 square meters of green space.

The school curriculum is organized into the Primary School grades K5 the Middle School grades 68 and High School grades 912. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Educations nineyear compulsory education program the curriculum is built on the strength from both Chinese and western education.
For Primary and Middle School the school follows a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum. For High School the school follows the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also offers the UK IGCSE and ALevel UK programs.

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and dedicated Middle School ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous English language arts instruction to middle school students fostering their literacy skills analytical thinking and appreciation for literature.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement comprehensive and standardsbased English Language Arts curriculum for middle school students incorporating a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
2. Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that promote active student engagement critical thinking and effective communication skills in reading writing speaking and listening.
3. Select and utilize a range of literary texts novels poetry nonfiction and multimedia resources to enhance students understanding of literary genres themes and historical contexts.
4. Provide differentiated instruction and support to students with varying levels of proficiency learning styles and academic backgrounds ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities for all learners.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that values diversity promotes respectful communication and encourages collaboration among students.
6. Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments including essays projects presentations and standardized tests and provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
7. Collaborate with colleagues parents and administrators to analyze student data develop intervention strategies and support students academic progress and socialemotional wellbeing.
8. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness stay current with best practices in ELA instruction and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the middle school ELA program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education English Literature or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Teaching certification/license (e.g. state certification PGCE or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of 35 years of teaching experience in middle school English Language Arts.
• Strong knowledge of middle school ELA curriculum instructional strategies and literacy development.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging and rigorous lesson plans and assessments aligned with educational standards.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• A commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction to enhance student learning experiences.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or another second language is advantageous but not required.
