Job Description

  • Develop full understanding of the relevant reforms and actions under the Reform and other programs managed by the Reform Secretariat and devise annual action plans to achieve desired targets.
  • Work closely with relevant entities, to update the reforms and monitor their implementation, and to identify challenges and technical assistance needed to implement the reforms according to set timeframe and update the action items under the Reform Matrix accordingly.
  • Coordinate closely with the Deputy Director to manage, collect information and report on all Doing Business reforms.
  • Work closely with MoPIC's ’Competitiveness Reinforcement Initiative (CRI)’ team to identify the gaps in the current value chains, propose policy reforms, perform investment gaps assessment, and conduct investment promotion activities to support Jordanian products to become regionally and globally competitive.
  • Follow up on technical assistance implementation under the World Bank Multi-Donor Trust Fund bank-executed and recipient-executed in coordination with Programs, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.
  • Manage and supervise the Economic Analysts under her/his supervision.
  • Ensure that the reforms are in line with the Environmental, Social and Gender Considerations.
  • Prepare structured reports on the status and progress of reforms and next steps with the goal to ensure reforms are moving forward and advise the management team of challenges.
  • Coordinate with entities, development partners and implementing agencies to map existing technical assistance and identify gaps in support.
  • Develop technical assistance plan to support entities in implementing reforms and achieving targets.
  • Form and lead sector working groups, as needed, comprised of stakeholders, development partners, civil society and the private sector. The feedback from the sector working group will provide essential input for the reviewing and prioritizing reforms, reviewing annual action plans, identifying gaps and challenges, and proposing new and/or additional solutions and actions.
  • Draft reports and internal briefs and other communication material as needed.
