A bit about the role:
A global payments FinTech is seeking an HR Manager to join their dynamic team. The role will be based on site in their offices in Johannesburg(preferably) or Cape Town and will report to the Senior Talent Manager.
The HR Manager will play a key role in developing and executing the companys HR strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for all HR-related activities, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and employee development. In this role, you will work closely with senior management to identify the companys HR needs and implement programs to support the companys growth and success. The ideal candidate would be someone who likes to interact with people and knows their HR policies. You need to be passionate about the HR space and have a willingness to grow and learn
Your daily adventures include:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the companys goals and objectives.
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, such as performance management, disciplinary procedures, and employee relations
Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
Plan and coordinate employee development programs, such as training and professional development opportunities
Maintain accurate HR records and reporting systems, including employee files and company-wide HR metrics
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure HR initiatives align with the companys overall goals and objectives
Stay up-to-date with HR-related laws, regulations, and best practices, and ensure the companys HR policies and procedures are compliant
Support the recruitment function by carrying out searches for choice candidates; coordinating and reviewing applications and conducting interviews with candidates that match job requirements; Facilitate performance of background checks on job candidates; and undertake the onboarding and induction processes for incoming staff
Ensuring appropriate HR practices and processes are deployed consistently and impacts on people are managed effectively
Partner with the VP of Operations and Legal on workforce planning, succession planning, skills assessment and support the office in HR Plans implementation
Provide HR administration support, administration as well as drafting needed HR communication i.e., letters etc.
Maintain records of employee hiring, promotion, transfers, or termination
Work with the VP of Operations and Legal and other managers to drive compliance to human resources policies, standards, and procedures by employees.
Assist in maintaining harmonious employee relations by balancing fair employee standards, internal policies, best practice, and business needs
Actively participate in relevant benchmarking activity e.g., HR Metrics and employee surveys, interpreting the corporate level results, identifying consistent issues/positives across the company, and supporting the articulation and implementation of an action plan which delivers positive outcomes throughout the organisation
Review and analyse different departments data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
Beneficial Requirements
Bachelors degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field
A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in an HR management role, with experience in a technology or FinTech company being a plus
Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including experience with employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders at all levels
Ability to think critically, analyse data, and make informed decisions
Mandatory requirements:
Good English speaking and writing skills.
Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Sound knowledge in BBBEE and SETA management
