Responsibilities :
- Deliver world class infrastructure engineering and operations solutions and processes and drive the adoption of automation and end-to-end solutions within the team, with focus on continuous incremental improvements
- Leading several teams of highly skilled systems engineers in various locations across the globe, providing direction, ongoing coaching and feedback, assessing performance and making effective staffing decisions
- Serve as a single point of contact for all major operation issues, escalations, and improvement plans and implement a culture of accountability within the team
- Establish the monthly operations review forum and define the KPIs and metrics to monitor and manage team and service performance levels
- Examine, refine, and develop the existing monitoring and response metrics of the company's internal and cloud infrastructure
- Ensure Infrastructure team provides necessary support to accomplish the Department of Information Technologies goals
- Ensure Incident and Change Control documents are accurate and complete
- Establishes policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure compliance with accepted industry practice
- Develop global maintenance schedules for network and cloud services
- Coordinate comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations
- Develop and ensure the implementation of capacity planning programs, taking into account both auto-scaling capabilities as well as cost optimisations.
- Ensure the adoption of leading edge technologies to build and secure the SaaS infrastructure
- Provide 7x24 continuous service monitoring, preventive maintenance, and emergence response capabilities
- Team building, planning, cost cutting and optimisations
- Qualifications For Director, Infrastructure
- Demonstrable leaderships skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a timely manner with senior management and staff
- Demonstrated supervisory experience and the ability to lead and manage staff. Demonstrated experience in organizing and coordinating work of others, setting priorities and assigning work.
- Ten years of technology experience, including troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis of complex infrastructure solutions
- Technical background with AWS services, Kubernetes (via EKS), CI/CD processes, Javascript (node.Js, Typescript)
