- Purpose of consultancy
- The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical advice to support Ministry of Health Jordan with the implementation of the DHIS2 roadmap.
- Background
- The District Health Information Software version 2 (DHIS2), an application that is used in more than 70 countries around the world for integrated health management information systems, is an open-source software platform for reporting, analysis and dissemination of data and data products for all health programs, developed by the Health Information Systems Programme (HISP) in the University of Oslo (UiO). Jordan is in the process of adopting DHIS2 for routine health information strengthening and for creating a data warehouse linking available systems at MoH into one central platform.
As of now, a national core team is formed at MoH Jordan, and with the support of Ministry of Digital Economy, cloud-based servers have been set up. Furthermore, the organizational hierarchy and master list of health facilities is developed, and routine reporting forms are linked with DHIS2 platform. The consultancy is to support the priority actions as per the DHIS2 roadmap for 2024, mainly in primary health care as part of Spanish and EU grants.
- Work to be performed
- Output 1: Sensitizing training for hospital, health directorates, PHC and Moh central level
Deliverable 1.1: Coordinate the training plan for health
