Deputy Director

• provide leadership and supervisory management for programs in syria, including mobilization and stewardship of resources, staff safety and security, program quality and accountability, and performance management. • work closely with finance colleagues to ensure systems are in place and functioning effectively for budget development, management and realignment; cash management, financial planning, cash transfers using the hawala system, and staff effort allocation. • directly supervise the supply chain coordinator; ensure that the sc team meets the needs of the programs in a timely manner. • assist the sc coordinator in establishing areas where irc would benefit from framework agreements with vendors for frequently procured supplies and services. oversee and support tendering processes as required. • ensure that all standard sc reporting is in place for all field offices and consistently applied. • set operational objectives with support function leads, including human resources and security management to achieve pliance, coordination with programmatic activities, and appropriate budget planning. actively participate in country program management and strategy meetings with other members of the smt.
