- he Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) is charged with providing support to the Chief of Party in the overall project management specifically in the project administrative and financial tasks, as well as the M&E activities ensuring that all project deliverables are met and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- S/he supervises the project team and maintains daily communications with HO on procurement, staffing monthly financial and technical reporting.
- The DCOP will be responsible for establishing and ensuring efficient program management, capacity building design and implementation of the regional field offices and enforcing compliance with contract provisions, FAR regulations and AIDARs, DT Global policies, and procedures, and local laws as they pertain to procurement.
- S/he will be responsible for consulting with Home Office on contract related issues that may represent a risk to DT Global during the implementation of Climate Ready as well as coordinate with Senior Advisors to ensure effective operations of sub-offices.
- The DCOP will also contribute to work plans, reports and activity implementation.
- As such, a qualified candidate is required to have technical experience implementing climate change adaptation policy and/or finance donor-funded programs in the Pacific Region.
- The DCOP reports to the Chief of Party or his/her designee.
