DB2 Admin with UNIX and Linux Background

Job Title : DB2 Database Admin Specialist.

Location : MC Lean VA Or Plano TX hybrid T W TH Must be Onsite

Job Type : Contract

Must Have:: Complete DB2 & DBA SHELL required Ansible and Python preferred

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

• DB2 database design including architecture installation procedures build and configuration standards
• Configure Database and Database Clients to use Data in Transit TLS encryption / or Password in Transit Encryption are required by the project
• Troubleshoot and solution Encrypted connections of various types including jdbc odbc and native clients
• Database maintenance automation using Ansible SHELL python
• Provide oncall support on rotation as per schedules
• Experience with upgrading DB2 databases

Basic Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience in DB2 Database administration
• In Depth understanding of Database technology standard patterns and best practices
• Extensive Database configuration
• Deep knowledge of industrystandard enterpriseclass best practices for a large database environment
• Good understanding of Linux/VM platform
• Deep understanding of HA DR Database and storage technologies as they relate to DB2
• Experience implementing supporting and auditing database security in DB2
• Experience with Unix/Linux OS platform and Unix Shell/Perl scripting and automation

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in virtual environment using VMware
• Database vendor certification
