Overview:

As a Data Entry Clerk you will play a crucial role in the organization by accurately inputting updating and maintaining data to support the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data contributing to informed decisionmaking across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input and update data into databases and maintain accurate records
  • Verify the accuracy of existing data
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data
  • Review and correct discrepancies in data entries
  • Generate reports and perform data analysis tasks
  • Respond to information requests from authorized personnel
  • Ensure data integrity and security
  • Follow data entry procedures and standards
  • Scan documents and print files when needed
  • Conduct regular data backups to ensure data preservation
  • Support data entry process improvements and updates
  • Assist with data cleansing and maintenance projects
  • Manage and organize physical and digital files
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Adhere to data privacy and confidentiality policies

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role
  • Proficiency in data entry software and tools
  • Strong typing and numeric key entry skills
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines
  • Basic understanding of databases and data analysis
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Solid understanding of data confidentiality principles
