About this role

Ensuring that profit and business targets are agreed and achieved for the business by:
Consulting with and assisting the Business Manager in the setting of targets for their allocated Business area.
Fulfilling the tasks described in this job description.

Delivering a strategic plan for the growth of the business by taking ownership/accountability for:
Budget creation and management.
Identifying and delivering new business opportunities within the existing client base.
Actively marketing all Group services to client base.

Ensuring that all orders and contracts are completed to the clients satisfaction while maximising the financial benefit to Petrohawk Energy by:
Communicating effectively with the client and issuing monthly and quarterly reports detailing HSEQ, Financial, Technical and Operational performance as a minimum, to a client agreed schedule.
Reviewing operation processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Ensuring all commercial processes are followed and correct engagement with support functions is maintained.
Effective management of change (Financial and Technical).
Gaining feedback through customer satisfaction surveys using FPAL and client visits onshore, offshore and overseas as required.
Managing technical elements efficiently and effectively to ensure best solution is provided.

Ensuring the Operations teams run smoothly and effectively by:
Working with and mentoring team members.
Undertaking audits to ensure QMS compliance and efficient working.

Contributing to the development of new systems, procedures and initiatives that will assist the Petrohawk Energy by:
Taking part in the senior management team meetings.
Contributing to special meetings and working parties.
Liaising directly with function heads.
On a day-to-day basis, identifying necessary process and business improvements and taking steps to implement same.
Participating in knowledge sharing of best practice between colleagues.

Ensuring direct reports develop their own skills and experience for the benefit of the Company by:
Mentoring team members to ensure individuals are developed fully to meet their potential.
Conducting a formal appraisal where development needs are identified and agreed.
Monitoring the performance of direct reports and recommending development opportunities.
Identifying training needs for employees.

Taking an active part in promoting an excellent safety culture by:
Setting an example at all times of the correct safety behaviours.
Reinforcing that safety is a prime concern and people will be given every support when stopping unsafe jobs.
Seeking the advice of HSEQ Rep where necessary and supporting the roll out of safety initiatives.
Following all Petrohawk Energy safety rules and procedures including reporting of accidents immediately to the Operations Director/HSEQ Rep.
Delivery of HSEQ plan, actions and initiatives.

Following best in class people management practices and overseeing their direct report s fulfilment of these functions by:
Seeking the advice of, and supplying information to the Human Resources Rep.
Effectively applying all HR policies and practices.
Monitoring employee satisfaction levels in the business units and offering guidance to direct reports when necessary.

Ensuring that all financial transactions are completed to the highest ethical and professional standards and comply with the Petrohawk Energy policies by:
Seeking advice from Finance Dept Rep.
Responding quickly and thoroughly when issues regarding financial probity are suspected or identified.

Contributing at a senior level to marketing of the Petrohawk Energy by:
Working with and assisting the Business Development team.
Assisting the Business Development team with ideas, marketing copy and contacts relating to the business units.
Undertaking visits to senior potential client contacts as required.
Undertaking any other reasonable and legitimate duties assigned by the General Manager Industrial.

HSEQ Responsibilities It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, and follows the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to the Management System processes/procedures.
The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health, safety and/or environmental legislation to follow these.
The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
