Our growth rate has been quite stunning and still were just getting started. With hundreds of thousands of smart devices connected to the Tibber platform (like electric vehicles and smart thermostats) we have one of the most unique portfolios for trading energy and offering flexible services to the grid.

The Data area within Tibber is the main contributor to steering business value through data at Tibber. We as Data Analysts are experts in generating and communicating insights based on data shaping the companys strategic direction. Its our job to perform specialised analyses and collaborate closely with our stakeholders educating them in analytical methods and mindset.

Sitting in a purely central team isnt what we do: we work in a hybrid manner. The majority of the time we as Data Analysts are embedded in different areas of Tibber so we stay close to the products and business needs. A smaller part of the time we work centrally with our fellow Data Analyst colleagues on longterm direction and foundational projects.

We have recently kicked off an Analytics selfservice journey and are rolling out Thoughtspot to enable that. It is our vision that everybody at Tibber will be able to perform day to day analyses themselves supported and educated by us. Whats the benefit in that you might ask By doing so we are empowering all Tibberinos to access understand and use data to guide and support them in their business decisions. A big advantage is that this leaves more time for us Data Analysts to be proactive and drive larger analytical projects.

Job Mission

Join the Data Analytics Team consisting of four kind humble and data loving colleagues. All four of them have their own domain expertise area but you will work together and help each out on a frequent basis. Authenticity is considered a superpower your voice will be heard and your development needs will be taken very seriously. Creating a culture where everybody can be their full self at work is therefore very important to your Data Analytics Manager.

Youll also be part of the larger data area (17 people) consisting of Data Scientists Quantitative Analysts Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers. All of whom you will be working together with on an exciting journey to have data become more prominent at Tibber.

For this specific role you will be embedded in 2 areas: Finance and the product area called Energy Deal. They might sound different but actually have a lot of overlap. The Energy Deal product area consists of Subscription and Invoicing product teams which are very closely linked to Finance. Your main stakeholders will be the Head of Accounting and the Product Area Lead for Energy Deal. As a Financial Data Analyst youre not just another cog in the wheel; youre vital to shaping the data direction in these areas.

Some of your responsibilities (but not limited to) will include:

Facilitate financial reporting. Of course you will handle occasional adhoc reporting requests and deep dives but one of your main responsibilities will be to help standardise Tibbers financial and management reporting and its structure across the company.

Contribute to strategic initiatives. The Product Area has ambitious strategic initiatives related to understanding our true costtoserve reducing financial losses further and improving subscription rates. Exciting right Your analyses will be key in contributing to the success of these initiatives.

Champion selfservice way of working. In both the Product Area and the Finance Area you are expected to build a selfservice foundation and help your stakeholders gain insights themselves. Its a journey we have already started across the company and you will help your areas to get there. Data should not be an afterthought.

KPIs. You will help define implement and track your Product Area KPIs.

Ideal Profile

Ideally we would like to see the following:

Data Analyst experience. 2 years prior experience as a Data Analyst.

Finance experience. 2 years prior experience working with Financial data concepts and processes.

Created impact. Experience in doing analyses that drove big decision outcomes.

Technical knowhow. Proficient in actively using SQL (e.g. to create models in dbt). Prior experience working with tools similar to Thoughtspot Looker or Tableau.

Collaborative. A role model and seamless communicator who successfully manages to build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders.

Teaching ability. Excited about and has experience in educating others throughout Tibber on how to perform analytics work.

Proactive and businessminded mindset. Cares about making an impact taking ownership and leaning forward on projects.

A team player. Yes every ad says this but we truly believe our team is more important than an individual and would expect you to actively contribute to this. Egos are left at the door.

Some additional bonus skills (but in no way essential):

Scaleup/startup experience

Familiarity with other parts of our tech stack (Databricks dbt)

Good understanding of ERP tools like Netsuite.

Knowledge of data integrations and pipelines.
