Corporate Control Director

RAY.BBDM is currently managing a recruitment process for a large listed multinational company that leads the market in which it operates. Our client based in Porto (Portugal) is looking for a Corporate Control Director.

The Corporate Control Director will hold a pivotal position being at a crossroads of information coming from or being provided to financial stakeholders and upper management. All this information needs to be combined controlled and transferred into highquality data to supply to the management to satisfy the everincreasing informational demands of external and internal stakeholders regulatory bodies and markets. This position withholds significant space to take the initiative and impact the Companys business and strategy.

Leading a dynamic team of experts in financial planning and modelling Consolidation and IFRS standards the Corporate Control Director will closely work with several internal stakeholders mainly Finance Directors Tax team Investor relations Treasury and Process delivery teams. This position holder will be the key point of contact for external auditors.

Furthermore the Corporate Control Directors activities (amongst others) consist of the following:

• Adapting Group reporting tools and processes according to business and management requirements.
• Monitoring Financial Planning and Management reporting.
• Preparing Longterm Forecasts and liquidity Modeling to facilitate business decisionmaking.
• Preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements.
• Contributing to the Annual Report & taking responsibility for the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements.
• Key point of contact for external auditors.
• Providing IFRS / Accounting expertise.
• Leading developing and building the Corporate Control team.

Role requirements:

• At least 15 years of experience in a similar corporate position in a largecap listed company ideally coupled with experience in an international audit firm.
• Relevant postgraduation degree and qualification in finance (i.e. CPA ACCA or equivalent) completed by an MBA.
• Proven track record in building highperforming organizations and being a talented executive with significant business experience.
• Expertlevel skills (and experience) in IFRS.
• Skills in Corporate Finance and Longterm modelling activities.
• Proven leadership skills and team energizing management identification and development of talents and building/leading teams.
• Demonstrated success in the management of stakeholders and management of change.
• Excellent communication skills with high proficiency in written and verbal English.
